I need suggestions for upgrading my Air Intake

Postby Softail » Tue Jun 23, 2009 7:29 pm

Hi all, I've been away from the site for a very long time but I was one of the first to sign up to Rick's awesome site. I'm looking for a little advice and after reading Rick's awesome post on installing a power commander it may be a little easier. I have a 2006 Fatboy EFI. I just installed Vance & Hynes Slasness Side Cut pipes on my bike. Although it sounds so much better than stock and looks pretty cool with the big swoop all the way back to the rear axle I'm now ready to move on to upgrading the fuel intake. I've been toying around with two brands: Kuryakyn Hypercharger and Arlen Ness Big Sucker. I've read that the Hypercharger, although it looks nice does not offer much in the way of performance gain. Can anyone offer any advice on which combination of Air Intake and Fuel Management would work best for my set up.

Has anyone had any experience with the Arlen Ness Big Shot Fuel Tuner? Their site says you don't need a laptop or a dyno to get it working. Anyway I'm in need of a good combination Air Intake and Fuel system combo and looking for your expert advice.

Thanks in advance

Bill from way up in Ontario, Canada.

p.s. the weather just got nice here and we can finally ride!!
